The worst of all is that your makeup products also stand the chance of getting infected as they also come in contact with your make up applicators such as brushes, blending sponges, puffs etc.. In other to save yourself this issues, it is best to clean your makeup applicators at least once in a month. You can do this by washing them with soap and water to get excess product off, after which you can prepare a bath with look warm water in which you will place them for at least 20minutes, it is best to leave them to dry without exposing them directly under the sun.
