It is no doubt that a lot of homes have experienced weeping in this season. 2020 has been a year when events that shook the world took place. 

I can't begin to imagine the pain and agony some families are going through. For everyone who lost someone or something they love dearly, please accept my condolences, and I pray that the Lord will heal your heart.

I understand that things happen, and death is inevitable, but I choose to hold on to the promises of God.

"A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked." - Psalm 91:7

"None shall cast their young nor be barren in thy land; the number of thy days I will fulfill." - Exodus 23:25

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." - Isaiah 40:29

This is why I am calling on you to join me in prayer in this season as we trust in God that no form of weeping will know our household.

Prayer Points for 2021

Fools give full vent to their rage,    but the wise bring calm in the end.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Regardless of how intelligent you are, you are a step away from meeting your doom if you lack divine wisdom.

These days, everyone is a life coach or a motivational speaker, sharing knowledge that will put money in their pockets. Yet, the people they are helping are still struggling, even though they claim to be a coach.

This is not to insult anyone's qualification, but the help you can get from any person is limited compared to what you can gain from the Lord.

Divine wisdom goes beyond knowing your left from right or being a professional in a particular field.  It is God's kind of understanding.

It is easy to pick life over death with divine wisdom in place and to fool the devil in his own game.

Wisdom is needed to navigate life issues and, above all, to do the will of God.

Most people started 2020 optimistic. We've all had our share of making New Year’s resolutions and making plans about things we wanted for ourselves in the new year. 

Little did most people know that the world would be on hold and things we can't control would threaten us and those we love.

After my experience on the 20th day in December 2019, a moment where God spoke through me during a podcast recording just like the one I am doing this year, he said, "2020 would not be as easy as you imagine; winds will blow, and if you are not solidly planted in the word of God or Jesus Christ, you will be blown away."

I took this message very seriously; I know better than to take the word of God for granted, so I went crazy with praying for protection for 2020.

It is a year later, and my family and I are still protected under the canopy of Jesus. On the 1st of December, my family and I confirmed we were Covid-19 negative, even if we lived in Italy's most afflicted region. 

Furthermore, our lifestyle and business do not allow us to sit in place. We need to meet strangers at least twice a week. Not to mention shopping and some other events that pull us outside our comfort. Yet we are okay.

"Though a thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, no harm will come near you. You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked.…" - Psalm 91:7

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? - 2 Corinthians 6:14

We are decision-making creatures, and whether we like it or not, we make choices every day. Our picks and decisions are the first step towards winning or losing in life.

Even God allows us to pick what we want. A consequence or consequences is what follows any decision, either good or bad.

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;" - Deuteronomy 30:19

You and I know that making the right decision is not natural. Indeed, some are great at making significant decisions or seemingly great decisions, but humans are never above making mistakes. 

The devil is always out to see us make the wrong choice so he can get the chance to mislead us.

Wrong choices are what makes a lady keep holding on to a guy who treats her like shit while she snubs those who genuinely care for her.

A wrong decision is what causes a man to invest all he has in the wrong business.

A wrong decision is a reason people choose death over life.

I have had my share of wrong decisions, yet God gave me a second chance, an opportunity to start afresh.

Can you imagine your life with the wrong decisions you've made? I sure can, and this is why we need the help of God in this season to make the best choices.

In this season, we will be asking God to help us make the right decision. A decision that will bring glory to God. Decisions that will change our lives for the best. Decisions that will put the devil to shame.

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. -Matthew 6:10

As I mentioned in one of my podcast recordings, it is hard and somewhat uncomfortable for humans to permit God to do his will. 

When this prayer point was dropped on my spirit as the first on the list for the prayers we had to do for 2021, I was a bit displeased. 

Even if I had this prayer point written down as something I would share, I found myself changing the prayer point to Lord, let your kingdom come. 

The unexplainable happened when I was recording on the 2nd of December. Even if I had all five prayer points written, I used Lord, let your will be done instead of what I wanted to say.

I realized I shot myself in the foot when I started the explanation. Even if it was against my will to use this prayer point dropped on my spirit, God let his will prevail.

I am one who has always endeavored to give Jesus the wheel. Why was I taken aback to ask for his will to be done? Regardless, Jesus took the will of my hands and let the will of the father be done.

Putting this in writing makes me realize or see this whole encounter as an experience. I wanted something, but what was needed was placed on my lips.

Perhaps the memory of my Bible story still makes me feel like the will of God involves someone getting hurt. Do you remember Matthew 26:39? It is the story about when Jesus was being taken to the persecution ground.

"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt." - Matthew 26:39

Ultimately, he was hung on the cross, which was God's will for him. I remember the first time I heard this story in primary school. My heart was broken. I saw Jesus as a superhero, and I expected that something should have happened that could take him out of that situation.

Although it may have seemed unfortunate to my limited understanding at the time, he died but for something bigger than death, the reconciliation of the world to God. 

Jesus lost his life for the will of God to have the world saved to be actualized.

Moses lost his place in the palace for God's will to deliver Israel to be realized.

Joseph lost his family for God's will to rule Egypt and save the Israelites in the time of famine.

Isaiah was saved for the will of God to protect interested people to be established.

I lost the opportunity of school in Canada for the will of God to connect me with my husband and save my life.

We might not agree with his will, or sometimes we grumble about what he wants for us. But he is the master strategist. He specializes in making impossibilities possible. He knows the end before the beginning.
